Warwick Smith, Provisional Psychologist
Warwick Smith completed his Bachelor of Psychology and Honours of Psychology at the University of the Sunshine Coast. His research investigated biological effect of trauma and has been heavily involved in developing a phone app treatment program for PTSD.
Warwick has worked with child safety and NDIS clients for over eight years and has developed expertise in trauma-based behaviours, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range. Warwick is passionate about assisting individuals of all ages with a range of difficulties and has experience working with substance abuse. Warwick has a particular interest in the treatment of trauma disorders including social anxiety, specific phobias, neurodevelopment, depression, trauma, parenting and relationship education.
Depending on the individual goals and needs of each client, Warwick utilises a range of evidence-based treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.
