Pam Hennessy, Generalist Psychologist


Pam is a generalist psychologist, completing Bachelor of Behavourial Science, Bachelor of Science (Psychology) Honours and Grad Certificate in Case Management (Rehabilitation). She is a member of the professional association, APS.

Pam has worked in private practice and in the private hospital, public sector and workers’ compensation environments. She has provided services to clients with anxiety and mood disorders, chronic pain, maladaptive health behaviours, work-related issues, relationship difficulties and many other presentations. Pam is adept in several therapeutic styles, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-focused therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Adjustment to Injury counselling and mindfulness-based training techniques.

Pam has managed and been part of a team of allied health professionals delivering a Pain Management Rehabilitation Program for 8 years to persons in chronic pain. During this time, Pam provided both group-based and individual interventions, often to clients with complex presentations and dual diagnoses. She works with clients to understand factors which initiate and perpetuate pain, to manage associated symptoms and maximise independence in a meaningful way.

Pam is passionate about assisting clients to identify and address their needs with intervention geared towards achieving their desired outcome, in a client-centred manner.
