Christophe Cosson, Registered Psychologist
Christophe has completed a Bachelor of Psychology and Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology at the Queensland University of Technology. He is a current member of the Australian Psychology Society. Christophe has had comprehensive experience in psychological assessments and evidence based therapies treating depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, anger management, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, substance abuse problems, and various complex mental health conditions. Christophe is proficient at treating those at risk of suicide or deliberate self-harm, and has invested interest in trauma therapy.
Christophe also enjoys helping children and adolescents suffering from emotional and behavioural difficulties. Christophe has worked in a wide variety of areas including private practice, corrections, employment, and psychological research settings.
The main psychotherapeutic models he uses include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focussed Therapy. Christophe’s strengths lie with his motivational techniques, friendly and caring nature, solution focussed approach, and ability to understand and achieve good results with clients.
